There is a specific moment that sells every ocean view apartment in Santa Marta: around six in the evening, when the sun drops behind the bay of El Rodadero and the water turns copper while the first lights come on along the malecón. No photo does it justice, though the view from a balcony with coffee at sunrise makes a strong case too. In a city squeezed between the highest coastal mountain range on earth and the Caribbean, the horizon is the whole show.
"Ocean view" is another phrase that suffers from creative interpretation — a sliver of blue between two buildings if you lean off the balcony does not count in our book. The apartments on this page have genuine sea views from inside the unit, and the photos were taken from the actual windows and balconies you will be standing at. All are verified units we manage in Centro Internacional Rodadero, with live calendars and full pricing in pesos before you commit. Sunset is included in the rate; we take no credit for it, but we did choose the units carefully around it.

View apartmentYes — we only tag a unit "ocean view" when the sea is visible from inside the apartment or its balcony in normal use, not by leaning out. Listing photos are taken from the unit's actual windows.
Toward the bay of El Rodadero, which faces west — meaning many units get the famous Caribbean sunset directly from the balcony. Each listing describes its specific orientation and floor.
Usually somewhat, especially on higher floors, and they are the first to sell out in high season. The full nightly price is always shown on the calendar before you book, so you can compare directly with other units.
